SPOKANE, Wash – A wanted man was arrested Friday afternoon as SWAT officers and multiple sheriff’s deputies blocked off streets near Moran Prairie Elementary School.
SCSO says they were helping the Department of Corrections with a warrant but the wanted suspect, 52-year-old Jeremy M. Bausch, refused to answer and remained barricaded inside.
Officers could be heard on a loudspeaker, trying to get him to come out of the house. Around 4:05 p.m. our crews witnessed deputies putting cuffs on Bausch and placing him into a patrol car.
Jeremy Bausch was arrested in that case and had a hearing scheduled for Wednesday this week. His case is being handled as a mental health sentencing alternative case.
Moran Prairie Elementary School students were in a secure and teach situation, which means students are not coming and going from the school.
People around the school told our crew the students were released around 3 pm.
