ATHOL, Idaho — Idaho Fish and Game is looking for information about the illegal killing of a cow elk and a calf at Farragut State Park.
The dead elks were reported on April 12 less than a half mile from the visitor center near State Highway 54.
IDFG says both elk had been shot and parts of each animal removed. It is believed the elk were killed during late evening or early morning hours.
Elk hunting is not allowed within Farragut State Part and there are not currently any open elk seasons.
