SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — You and your family are invited to a hands-on Earth Fest event at Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge on April 25.
This free volunteer opportunity is happening from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
You can come enjoy the fresh air, connect with fellow nature enthusiasts, and help care for the wildlife refuge.
Volunteers can participate in three activities: Seedling potting, fence removal and tree thinning.
There will also be a keynote speech given by Jack Nisbet on the history of fire on the landscape and its role as a cultural practice.
People of all ages are welcome. Volunteers are asked to bring your own gloves and a water bottle to stay comfortable throughout the day.
