MULLAN, Idaho — A woman was killed early Friday morning after being struck by a semi-truck on eastbound Interstate 90 near Mullan, according to Idaho State Police.
The fatal crash occurred at approximately 1:52 a.m. near milepost 64. A red semi-truck driven by a 30-year-old male from Mountlake Terrace, Washington, struck a 49-year-old female from Kellogg who was in the roadway.
The woman died at the scene from her injuries. Next of kin has been notified, police said.
The collision blocked eastbound lanes of Interstate 90 for approximately three and a half hours while emergency responders and investigators worked at the scene.
Idaho State Police continue to investigate the crash. Authorities have not released details about what led the woman to be in the roadway or the circumstances surrounding the collision.
