SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Velocity earned three points at home tonight with a 3-1 win over AV Alta FC.
Spokane keeps its all-time unbeaten run over AV Alta alive with the win and snaps a four-match winless streak.
Osvaldo Lay opened scoring for AV Alta in the seventh minute, and an Andrew Booth goal ended the first half at a 1-1 tie.
Shavon John-Brown scored the leading goal only ten minutes into the second half, and a breakaway in added time from Neco Brett to Nil Vinyals sealed the 3-1 win.
The Velocity look to extend the unbeaten home record on Saturday when they host the Richmond Kickers at 6:00 p.m.
