SPOKANE, Wash. – Steele Venters is the fourth Gonzaga player to plan to enter the NCAA transfer portal when it opens tonight.
The former Big Sky Player of the Year was a force at Eastern Washington, but consecutive ACL tears prevented him from seeing the Gonzaga court for two years.
Venters suited up this season, starting in 10 games and playing in 27, but after the Washington State win on February 10, he only featured on senior night against Portland. He did not register any minutes in the WCC or NCAA tournament.
Venters has already played four seasons, so he’ll need an NCAA medical waiver to play in the 2026-27 season.
Venters joins Braeden Smith, Emmanuel Innocenti, and Cade Orness to plan to enter the portal.
