Spokane County Emergency Management said evacuations have been lifted for the 53-acre wildfire that was burning near the Spokane airport.

Spokane County Fire District 3 said firefighters have successfully knocked down the 53 acre wildfire near the Spokane airport.
Officials are still working to secure the edge of the fire and put out any hot spots that arise.
Evacuation levels are expected to lower in the next few hours.
UPDATE, August 31, 2024 5:25 p.m.
Spokane County Emergency management reduced evacuations for a wildfire burning near the Spokane airport.
Level 2 (Get Set) evacuations are in place between Thorpe Rd on the North and Medical Lake Highway on the South; Hayford Road on the East and Lawson Street on the West.
Level 1 (Get Ready) evacuations are in place between Thorpe Road on the North and Medical Lake Highway on the South; Lawson Street on the East and Craig Road on the West.

Level 3 (LEAVE NOW!) evacuations have been ordered for a wildfire near the Spokane airport.
People living between Thorpe Road North, Medical Lake Highway south, Hayford Road east and Lawson street west need to leave now.
