SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash – Several trees crashed into a Spokane Valley home this morning while a man was sleeping inside.
Two trees crashed into the home on South Hollow Court sometime around 1 am Thursday morning during a powerful windstorm.
One tree fell into the garage, the other into the right side of the house.
The man who lives there was sleeping in the back of the home and was not hurt.
High winds Wednesday night into Thursday took down hundreds of trees around the Inland Northwest, knocking down road signs and taking down power lines.
The National Weather Service said the strongest gust in the Spokane area was 68 miles per hour at Spokane International Airport.
