SPOKANE, Wash – If you’re watching the Olympics and thinking, “Hey, I could do that” – you can put your skills to the test later this spring in Spokane.
USA Bobsled/Skeleton is hosting in-person recruitment and will stop in Spokane in May.
The post on the organization’s website says athletes 18 and over can sign up and people with all kinds of sports backgrounds are encouraged to register.
It costs $75 to participate.
Activities are tested in several areas, including a 10-yard sprint, 40-yard sprint, broad jump, vertical jump test and a mindset exam.
The Spokane recruitment is one of 13 nationwide and the only one in the northwest.
Athletes on the current Olympic bobsled and skeleton teams have backgrounds that include track and field and ski racing.
