SPOKANE, Wash – Spokane Police released the person initially detained in connection with the shooting of two men in north Spokane, but said there is no danger to the public.
Police detained what they called a person of interest in connection with the shooting on East Cozza early Thursday morning.
He was in a nearby apartment and had head injuries, so he was taken to the hospital.
Friday, though, detectives learned new information and released that man from custody.
Spokane Police say evidence suggests the shooting was “an isolated event” and that there was no danger to the public.
When 4 News Now asked for more details about why, Spokane Police Officer Daniel Strassenberg said there could be more updates in the future.
4 News Now asked if this was a murder-suicide or if the two men shot each other. Officer Strassenberg responded that it was a not a murder-suicide.
When asking to clarify if the two men shot each other, Officer Strassenberg responded that future updates would likely be provided.
