ATHOL, Idaho – A 79-year-old man died Monday morning after his vehicle rolled over on US-95 near Athol, according to Idaho State Police.
Idaho State Police troopers responded to the single-vehicle crash at 7:58 a.m. at milepost 451 on southbound US-95, police said.
The driver of a 1994 Jeep Wrangler was transported by ambulance to Kootenai Health, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
The crash forced the closure of both southbound lanes of US-95 for approximately 10 minutes, police said. Traffic was then reduced to one lane before both lanes reopened about two hours later.
Next of kin has been notified of the death, according to Idaho State Police.
The crash remains under investigation by Idaho State Police. No additional details about the cause of the rollover have been released, police said.
