SPOKANE, Wash. — No. 8 Gonzaga survived a tight rally by the San Francisco Dons to earn a 68-66 victory and remain unbeaten in West Coast Conference play.
The Bulldogs improved to 21-1 overall and 9-0 in the WCC with their 14th-straight win. Gonzaga jumped out strong, scoring the game’s first 12 points and leading 36-25 at halftime. San Francisco kept the pressure on in the second half, chipping away at the Zags lead to as little as two points before the final buzzer.
The Bulldogs were without Graham Ike and Braden Huff for the third-straight game.
Jalen Warley led the Zags with 19 points while Davis Fogle and Tyon Grant-Foster also added 15 points each.
The win keeps Gonzaga atop the WCC standings as they turn their attention to their next matchup, hosting the Saint Mary’s Gaels on Saturday, January 31 at 7:30 p.m.
