SPOKANE, Wash. — A man is facing an animal cruelty charge, and a woman is facing a domestic violence charge for an incident in north Spokane.
According to the Spokane Police Department, officers responded to a disturbance call on N. Wall Street near Wabash Avenue around 12:40 p.m. on Wednesday.
SPD says callers reported a man and woman were having an argument while she was in the back of a moving truck. During the incident, an estimated 11-week-old puppy was thrown from the truck.
A neighbor was able to recover the dog. It was uninjured.
44-year-old Daniel Kolle was arrested for 2nd-degree animal cruelty, and 46-year-old Melissa Pagel was arrested for 4th-degree assault-domestic violence.
