PULLMAN, Wash. — The Washington State women’s basketball team fell to the Santa Clara Broncos 98-92 at Beasley Coliseum.
Despite a season high offensive showing from the Cougars, the Broncos pulled away in the second half to hold off a late Wazzu rally.
WSU had three players score more than 20 points, Eleonora Villa led the way with 29 points while Alex Covill and Charlotte Abraham added 20 each.
The Cougs fell to 3-16 overall and will hit the road to face Saint Mary’s on January 15 at 6:30 p.m.
