CHENEY, Wash. — Spokane County Fire District 3 has released the complete schedule for its Annual Santa Escort, bringing holiday cheer to communities across the district from Dec. 14-19.
SCFD3 firefighters and their families will escort Santa through approximately 40 miles of neighborhood streets, distributing candy canes and spreading holiday joy throughout the fire district’s coverage area.
The escort begins Sunday, Dec. 14, with Station 34 covering areas west of Thomas Mallen to Grove Road starting at 12:30 p.m. Neighborhoods include Windsor Crossing, West Meadows, Aspen Park, Country View Meadows, Maple Terrace, Takoda Park and Thomas Manor.
Station 33 will handle areas between Hayford Road and Thomas Mallen across three days. Monday, Dec. 15, firefighters visit West Terrace starting at 5 p.m. Tuesday’s route includes Needham Hill, Hayford Village, the Berry Patch, Crystal Meadows and Beau West Apartments at 5 p.m. Wednesday covers Big Sky, Foxtail Estates and Strathview neighborhoods at 5 p.m.
Medical Lake residents can expect visits Thursday and Friday, Dec. 18-19, both starting at 5 p.m. Thursday covers areas west of Lefevre Street and south of Lake Street, while Friday travels north of Lake and east of Lefevre.
Station 35 serves Mullen Hill Thursday, Dec. 18, at 5:30 p.m. Station 36 visits Spangle Wednesday, Dec. 17, at 6:30 p.m.
