As the weather gets colder and we have had our first snow in the Inland Northwest, the Liberty Lake Police Department has some winter driving safety tips to share with everyone.
“The holiday season can often make us feel rushed wanting to get to our destination without delay,” Liberty Lake Police said. “Always be mindful of the conditions so you can get there safely.”
Here are some winter driving tips to keep in mind:
Increase the following distance between your car and the car in front of you.Avoid using cruise control.Steer and brake with slow and smooth inputsWatch for ice and reduce the amount of times you have to change lanes.
