PULLMAN, Wash – The Washington State Cougars have to win Saturday in Pullman’s regular season finale if they want a shot at a bowl game next month.
WSU hosts Pac-12 foe Oregon State Saturday at 3:30.
The Cougs are 5-6 and need that sixth win to be eligible for a bowl game. This would be WSU’s ninth bowl game in 10 full seasons and the 20th all-time bowl.
Oregon State has won just two games this year, including beating WSU 10-7 in Corvallis earlier this month.
WSU and OSU are the only remaining teams in the Pac-12 before the conference adds seven teams next season.
The teams have played a hodgepodge of opponents this year.
WSU will recognize 25 seniors prior to Saturday’s kickoff.
The game will be televised nationally on CW.
