SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga women’s basketball beat the Eastern Washington Eagles women’s basketball 79-60 at McCarthey Athletic Center.
Freshman Lauren Whittaker led the Zags with 19 points and had a strong presence inside. Gonzaga played smart defense and limited the Eagles to just 36% shooting.
For Eastern Washington, Elyn Bowers led the way with 14 points, but the Eagles struggled to find consistency.
The Zags improved to an evened out 3-3 on the season and will look ahead to their road game against Indiana on Friday November 28 at 10:30 a.m.
