SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — A 29-year-old driver suspected of being impaired was arrested for vehicular homicide after striking and killing a female pedestrian Friday evening in Spokane Valley, according to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.
Seth E. Schrammeck was traveling south on North Sullivan Road when he struck an adult female victim as she attempted to cross the intersection at East Broadway around 6:20 p.m, deputies said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene despite life-saving efforts.
Schrammeck had two children in his vehicle at the time of the crash. Neither child was injured, according to investigators.
Schrammeck was booked into the Spokane County Jail for vehicular homicide and reckless endangerment. The Spokane County Medical Examiner will release the victim’s identity at a later time.
