SPOKANE, Wash. — Firefighters are responding to a structure fire near East 5th Avenue and South Nelson Street.
Spokane Fire Department officials said a passerby reported the fire.
Two adults were inside the home but were not injured.
The Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents. When crews arrived, the blaze was in the attic, according to SFD.
The intersection of East 5th Avenue and South Nelson Street is blocked while crews work.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
