The daytime hours on Thursday will be more about the wind than the rain, but we’re not quite done with wet weather yet this week.
Plan Your Thursday
It’s going to be gusty today! Winds on Thursday will see gusts between 25 and 35 with a few gusts to 40 mph in the Columbia Basin. There will be showers through the day, but they’ll be scattered and not last that long. The next round of heavier, steady rain should show up by dinnertime. Widespread lowland rain and some mountain snow will continue into early Friday morning. Temperatures will stay warm in the windy weather, with highs today in the mid-50s.
What We’re Tracking
Windy weather continues on Friday, but showers will largely be confined to the mountains. This weekend is looking much calmer with a break in the wet weather arriving as high pressure builds. We should see continued mild temperatures for November. However, some of our valleys will likely see trapped fog or low clouds under strengthening inversions. This could limit how warm it gets in the afternoons early next week.
