SPOKANE, Wash. — The Friends of Manito Park said the Manito Holiday Lights will not be happening this year.
Organizers say the decision was made due to concerns about the needed resources, the environmental impact on the park and the stress that the event can place on the nearby neighbors.
“We know how much joy this event brought to our community, and we share in the disappointment. In 2026, we plan to revisit the idea and explore ways to create a celebration that spreads holiday happiness while caring for our Park and our neighbors,” The Friends of Manito Park said on their website.
