KXLY TV programming is unavailable for YouTube TV customers due to an ongoing carriage dispute between Disney and Alphabet/Google.
All ABC owned and affiliated stations, ESPN and other Disney-owned cable channels were removed from YouTube TV late Thursday night. YouTube TV is owned by parent company Alphabet/Google.
KXLY TV is owned by Morgan Murphy Media and has no input on the negotiation and the decision to remove the station.
Without a new agreement between the companies, KXLY and other stations will not be available to subscribers on YouTube TV. That means this station’s important local news and weather coverage is blacked out on the platform. In addition, the ABC network carries important news, sports and entertainment programming like college football, NFL “Monday Night Football,” “Dancing with the Stars,” “ABC World News Tonight,” and “Good Morning America.”
Viewers have options to continue to watch this programming. KXLY is always available for free with an antenna and our news and local programming is streaming 24/7 on the free KXLY+ app for your connected TV.
KXLY also has agreements with all other major cable and satellite providers. If you watch through another service, your service is unaffected.
KXLY and Morgan Murphy Media urge both parties to resolve this dispute as quickly as possible so service can be restored to all viewers.
