GRANT COUNTY, Wash. — Troopers are investigating the cause a crash that injured a man and a woman in Grant County on Saturday, according to Washington State Patrol.
On October 25 around 5:30 p.m., WSP responded to a crash on State Route 243 near Mattawa, about an hour’s-long drive southwest of Moses Lake.
WSP said an 18-year-old man in a 2007 Acura was driving north on SR-243, when he crossed the center line and struck a 2014 Ford Fusion driving southbound.
The Ford Fusion, driven by a 23-year-old woman, came to rest in the northbound lane, while the Acura came to rest on the side of the highway.
Both drivers were taken to a nearby hospital for their injuries. No information as to the extent of their injuries was provided.
WSP said it is investigating whether or not drugs or alcohol played a role in the cause of the crash and whether or not charges should be filed.
