MOSCOW, Idaho – The return of quarterback Joshua Wood led the Idaho Vandals to a 45-6 destruction of the winless Portland State Vikings.
Wood threw for 259 yards, four scores and no picks, plus three carries for 24 rushing yards. The Vandals had eight rushers combine for 163 yards on almost six per carry, plus an Elisha Cummings touchdown.
Cummings also had four catches for 100 yards and a receiving score. Today tripled his season total touchdowns with now three.
Idaho won the turnover battle 2-0 and held PSU to 2-13 on third downs.
The Vandals, now ending their four-game losing streak, try to make another win streak when they visit the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks on Halloween Friday at 7:30 p.m.
