AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. — A new mural was completed in Airway Heights’ Sunset Park this week!
This new community-inspired mural is a collaboration between the Park and Recreation Department and the Cheney School District.
CSD art teacher Rebeca Dempsy presented the mural opportunity to her middle and high school students who helped design artwork that reflected our area.
After reviewing submissions, a design by Mira Perret was selected. Over the course of three days, students and teachers brought Mira’s design to life.
“The finished piece is a vibrant and welcoming addition to Sunset Park, capturing the spirit and beauty of our community” the City of Airway Heights Parks and Recreation Department said. “We extend our heartfelt thanks to Ms. Dempsy, the Cheney School District art classes, and all the students who participated in this wonderful project.”
