Cheney Police reminding everyone about parking rules around the city

CHENEY, Wash. — As the fall semester heats up at Eastern Washington, the Cheney Police Department wants to remind everyone of the local parking ordinances.

Cheney Police says to make sure when you park that you are not blocking driveways or alleyways and are parking facing the right direction.

Also make sure your vehicle’s wheels are within 12 inches of the curb and follow all posted No Parking signs around the city.

CPD says vehicles can’t stay parked on public streets or city lots for more than 72 hours without approval from the Chief of Police.

Any vehicles parked longer than that may be considered abandoned and can be towed.
