BOISE, Idaho — Doug Martin, one of Boise State’s most accomplished running backs and a seven-year NFL veteran, died this weekend. He was 36.
Martin starred for the Broncos from 2007-11, ranking eighth in school history with 3,431 career rushing yards. During his tenure, Boise State went 50-3.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected Martin 31st overall in the 2012 NFL Draft. He earned Pro Bowl honors as a rookie and again in 2015 when he earned All-Pro recognition.
Martin accumulated 5,356 rushing yards in 84 NFL games.
