SPOKANE, Wash. — A 73-year-old convicted felon faces felony charges after allegedly shooting at a man’s vehicle near the Hillyard area Thursday morning, according to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.
Brian K. Reed was arrested after deputies responded to a shooting report near the intersection of N. Havana Street and E. Queene Ave. at approximately 2:50 a.m.
The victim told deputies he drove to Reed’s RV to pick up his girlfriend when Reed shot at his vehicle, shattering the driver’s side window, according to the sheriff’s office. The victim was not injured.
Deputies took Reed into custody without incident. Reed denied shooting but admitted to yelling at the victim.
Deputies obtained a search warrant and recovered five firearms, ammunition and shell casings from Reed’s RV. Reed is prohibited from possessing firearms as a convicted felon.
Reed was booked into Spokane County Jail on charges of first-degree assault and unlawful possession of a firearm.
