Although it’s been chilly in the mornings this week, the weather has been pretty peaceful and pleasant overall. We’ll start to see changes on Friday into the weekend with multiple systems we’re tracking.
What We’re Tracking
Two storms will impact us over the next few days. The first comes in on Friday but only gives us a glancing blow. Temperatures will be warmer on Friday than in recent days, thanks to some gusty winds of 20-30 mph. Rain chances stay low with only a few mountain showers possible.
The next system arrives late Saturday and will have a larger impact. Showers could begin as early as Saturday evening and will be widespread through Sunday. Mountain snow is likely above 5000 feet, higher than most of our mountain passes (Sherman). Winds will be even gustier, up to 40 mph at times in the Columbia Basin and 30 mph in the Spokane area Sunday afternoon.
