To join the ranks among “Big Snowplowski” and “Clearapathra”, Idaho Transportation Department is asking local students to come up with fun, creative names for its snowplows as winter approaches.
ITD is holding its second annual ‘Name a Snowplow’ contest where Idaho students in grades 6-12 can submit names for its snowplows and win a special visit from the plow they named as well as a winter safety presentation.
Two plows in each ITD region will be named by students will the winners chosen by ITD employees.
“Our snowplow drivers are thrilled to see students getting involved in this fun, educational opportunity that also highlights the importance of winter driving safety,” said Scott Stokes, Director of ITD.
Teachers can find out how to submit entries and more information at ITD.Idaho.gov.
