It’s another beautiful fall day, but clear, still air will cause temperatures to drop fast again tonight with frosts and freezes in several valleys.
What We’re Tracking
It will be a crisp and beautiful Monday afternoon, similar to how it was over the weekend. Highs will be in the 60s with a few low 70s in Central Washington. Temperatures tonight will drop back into the freezing range for many of our northern valleys, with mid-30s to low-40s elsewhere. It will be another night with frost in the forecast for much of North Idaho and northern Washington.
Temperatures gradually warm through the week, peaking in the low to mid-70s for highs on Thursday. Clouds begin to arrive Thursday night ahead of some major changes for the weekend. The first big storm of the season is set to arrive Saturday with widespread rain followed by the coolest weather in many months. Mountain snow is possible across the Northern Rockies by the end of the weekend, including in North Idaho.
