SPOKANE, Wash. — City Council approved the appointment of Kevin Hall as Spokane’s new police chief during a meeting on Monday night.
The council voted unanimously, with the exception of an absent Councilmember Jonathan Bingle, to appoint Hall.
The City of Spokane named Hall as SPD’s new chief in July.
He was with the Tucson Police Department in Arizona for over 30 years and acted as Assistant Chief of Police since 2016.
Hall will start his new role with SPD on August 26.
