SPOKANE, Wash. — October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and domestic violence service providers in Spokane invite everyone to attend a community vigil for survivors in Riverfront Park on Wednesday.
This free event will happen on Wednesday, October 1, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Snxw Meneɂ Amphitheater in Riverfront Park.
Organizers invite everyone to attend and consider wearing purple to support domestic violence awareness.
Mayor Lisa Brown will be speaking at the event, as will representatives from the Kalispel Tribe Victim Assistance Services, Mujeres in Action Spokane, Spokane Regional Domestic Violence Coalition, YWCA Spokane, and more.
