A different man will serve as Washington’s Governor through the first week of October, according to the Office of the Governor.
According to Washington state law, while the Governor travels outside of the state, the Lieutenant Governor serves as Acting Governor of Washington.
According to an announcement on Thursday, Governor Bob Ferguson will be traveling outside of Washington from September 25 through October 9.
While he is away, Lieutenant Governor Denny Heck will serve as Acting Governor.
