LAPWAI, Idaho — A woman died and another man was hospitalized in a shooting near Ash Avenue and Thunderhill Road in Lapwai.
According to Nez Perce Tribal Police, calls came in about the shooting just before 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
Officers quickly went out to the area and detained a suspect involved.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. A male victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Tribal Police says there is no ongoing threat to the public and the investigation into this incident is ongoing.
