GREEN BLUFF, Wash. — If you’ve been craving something sweet and seasonal, now’s the time to head out to the orchards in Green Bluff.
It’s all smiles and sticky fingers at Green Bluff, where the trees are full of peaches and ready for picking.
Last year, the orchards were practically bare of peaches and cherries after harsh winter weather shocked the trees before they reached dormancy.
“Everybody complained about last year. Every person I talked to has complained,” said Brandi Montgomery of Beck’s Harvest House. “But this year, everybody says the crop is great.”
The orchards are now filled with visitors filling their baskets with sweet peaches to take home and enjoy.

Nora Duran traveled from Central Mexico to enjoy a day at the orchards with her family.
“We’ve tried many of them, and they’re delicious. They are juicy. We’ve had a wonderful time. They whole family is visiting, so it’s an amazing experience,” Duran said.
Montgomery said the response to this year’s crop has been significant.
“The people and the turnout, it’s triple. It’s just so amazing,” she said.
She said Beck’s Harvest House expects to have peaches through the fall.
“We’re going to have a long-lasting season. It’ just makes more opportunities for people to come out and experience the orchard,” she said.
