GRANT COUNTY, Wash. — Law enforcement agencies in Grant and Kittitas Counties will be conducting high-visibility enforcement patrols this weekend for the Watershed festival.
Washington State Patrol says the Watershed festival is one of the biggest outdoor festivals in the state. The 3-day festival begins Friday and ends Sunday, August 3.
WSP says the goal of this high-visibility enforcement is to reduce serious injury and fatal crashes this weekend.
“Our goal is to contact collision-causing violations that are often seen during the influx of traffic in and out of the George/Gorge area for the annual Watershed country music festival,” stated Trooper Jeremy Weber, District 6 PIO. “DUI, speed, restraints, aggressive driving, distracted driving, and towing violations will be among the collision-causing violations we will be targeting.”
This is the third of four scheduled high-visibility enforcement patrols for this year.
