SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Deputies arrested a man for threatening to kill a person and stealing a bike in Spokane Valley on Monday, according to Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.
On July 28 around 3 p.m., Spokane Valley deputies responded to a domestic violence incident at a home near Cane Circle and Laberry Drive.
The victim told deputies 42-year-old Dustin Willhite had tampered with a camera on the property.
SCSO said deputies had been at the home four days earlier for another domestic violence incident, in which Willhite threatened to kill the victim by burning down the home.
Deputies were unable to find Willhite and he was not arrested.
During the Monday call, deputies found Willhite riding a mountain bike nearby and arrested him.
Deputies learned the bike was stolen and valued at around $1,500. Willhite said he bought the mountain bike on Facebook Marketplace for $100, but did not provide any proof.
Willhite was booked into Spokane County Jail for domestic violence, possession of stolen property and malicious mischief.
He was also served a Domestic Violence Protection Order.
