COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — The firefighter who survived being shot during an ambush on Coeur d’Alene’s Canfield Mountain is scheduled for his fourth surgery Wednesday.
Fire Engineer Dave Tysdal was moved to a Colorado rehabilitation facility that specializes in spinal cord injuries earlier this month. Tysdal is recovering from a gunshot wound, collapsed lung and spinal swelling that he sustained during last month’s ambush.
