COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — Hot and dry conditions have raised the fire danger level in Coeur d’Alene to “High.”
The Coeur d’Alene Fire Department says this means fires can start easily from most causes, grasses and brush are dry, outdoor burning is strongly discouraged and extreme caution should be used with campfires, barbecues and any equipment that could spark.
You can help prevent fires by making sure to never leave a fire unattended, keeping water and tools nearby when outdoors and reporting smoke or fire immediately by calling 911.
