SPOKANE, Wash. — Drivers who use Carlisle Avenue and Ralph Street between Carlisle Avenue and Upriver Drive will need to plan extra travel time starting on Monday.
According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, crews will work to remove and rebuild the road as part of the North Spokane Corridor Spokane River Crossing project.
Starting Monday, Carlisle Avenue will be closed between North Greene and North Ralph Street. North Ralph Street will also be closed between Carlisle Avenue and Upriver Drive.
During the closure, drivers who need to access Carlisle Avenue will have to travel north to Euclid Avenue, turn right and then turn south on Freya Street to Upriver Drive.
Drivers who need to head north on Greene Street will continue east on Upriver Drive to Freya Street and head north. At Euclid Avenue, drivers will turn left and drive west to reconnect with Greene Street.
WSDOT says the closure is expected to last until August 1.
