POST FALLS, Idaho — If you’re a foodie in the Inland Northwest, you now have a new destination to explore in downtown Post Falls.
Eats on Spokane Street is a food truck court featuring four upscale food trucks at Spokane Street and 2nd Avenue in Post Falls.
The venue aims to bring a lively environment to the fast-growing city that was once considered a sleepy town.
Although it has only been open for less than a month, it already has plans to expand to seven trucks.
The concept centers around creating a welcoming space for the community while supporting local small businesses.
Melissa Valdovinos, CEO and founder of Eats on Spokane Street, developed the vision five years ago with a focus on helping small businesses not just survive, but thrive.
“We’re for the people first and we’re for our community first. We want people to feel super comfortable here,” Valdovinos said.
One of the featured food trucks is Charcuteria, founded by Krista Brown, who specializes in homemade breads for Italian sandwiches, lemonade, gelato and fresh-made desserts. Brown describes the atmosphere as family-oriented.
“It’s wonderful… it just feels like a nice big family,” Brown said.
The food truck court is already showing positive impacts on the community. Brown said she has noticed increased foot traffic and community engagement in the area.
“It already shows – people are riding by on their bikes and walking their dogs and hanging out here and having dinner and lunch, visiting and playing games,” Brown said.
The food court is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. for more information, visit www.eatsonspokanest.com.
