SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — If you’re planning to drive through Spokane Valley tonight or tomorrow, you’ll want to give yourself some extra time to get around the construction on I-90.
Starting June 25 at 7 p.m., eastbound I-90 will be closed at the Barker Road interchange as construction crews work to pave over a large pothole that formed in February.
“Remember that canoe-sized pothole on I-90 in Spokane Valley from this winter? We figured it was time to do a longer-term fix before it qualifies as navigable waters,” wrote WSDOT East on social media.
A detour is in place through the ramps at the interchange. Drivers should expect delays.
The road work is expected to wrap up around 4 p.m. on June 26.
