The Pac-12 Conference might be one step closer to meeting the eight-school requirement to become a complete FBS conference.
According to Pete Thamel, a college football insider for ESPN, Texas State officials have alerted the Sun Belt conference that they expect an offer from the Pac-12 in the near future.
An official offer has not been presented to Texas State from the Pac-12. If the conference and university move forward with a deal, Texas State would be the eighth football member (ninth member including Gonzaga).
