Hello there! We’ve got another pleasant Thursday ahead for the Spokane area, but summer heat is about to kick into high gear.
Expect increasing cloud cover throughout the day, with highs right around average for late June—mid 70s in most spots. Winds will pick up again in the afternoon, with gusts reaching around 20 mph.
Looking ahead to Hoopfest weekend, conditions are shaping up beautifully. Saturday brings sunshine and a high near 80. Sunday gets even warmer with sunny skies and a high of 87—steamy for championship action.
Next week, the heat really turns up. Temperatures will soar into the mid 90s starting Monday and lasting through the week. With the 4th of July approaching, be mindful of fireworks—hot and dry conditions will increase fire danger.
Enjoy the sun and stay safe out there!
