SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — A man and a woman were injured in a crash near I-90 south of Medical Lake on Friday, according to Washington State Patrol.
Around 11:30 a.m. on June 20, WSP responded to a crash near I-90 and Salnave Road, about four miles south of Medical Lake.
According to WSP, a 38-year-old woman was driving east on the I-90 off-ramp onto Salnave Road before she drove through an intersection and failed to stop at the stop sign.
She then crashed into the driver’s side of a car going westbound on Salnave.
The westbound car, driven by a 91-year-old man, then crash into a light pole.
The car then rolled and came to rest in a nearby ditch.
Both the man and the woman were taken to the hospital for their injuries.
WSP said drugs and alcohol were involved in the cause of the crash and that charges are pending for the 38-year-old driver.
