GRANT COUNTY, Wash. — A fire believed to be caused by fireworks sparked near the Desert Villa Mobile Home Park in Grant County overnight.
Grant County Fire District 13 said the fire started around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.
When firefighters arrived, they found a fire burning on both sides of Highway 28, west of the mobile home park.
Crews were able to control the fire within 10 minutes and were out until around 4 a.m. to monitor the area.
Fire District 13 says the fire burned about 10 acres south of Highway 28 and a quarter acre north of the highway.
Officials say if you do decide to use fireworks, make sure you use them safely and legally.
