SPOKANE, Wash – The people watching just went up a notch at Spokane Hoopfest this weekend. Seattle Sonics legend Gary Payton will be among the crowds Saturday in downtown Spokane.
Hoopfest announced on Instagram Friday that Payton will be signing photos at 1 p.m. Saturday, then judging the dunk contest at 2 p.m.
The photo signing will be at the Dick’s Sporting Goods tent next to Center Court.
Payton played 13 years for the Sonics, then had short stints with the Bucks, Lakers, Celtics and Heat.
He made the all-star team nine times and was inducted into the Hall of Fame.
