SPOKANE, Wash. — If you often take East Upriver Drive near Green Street, you’ll want to give yourself some extra time to get around over the next few days as construction crews continue work for the North Spokane Corridor.
On June 12, WSDOT construction crews closed East Upriver Drive between North Ralph Street and East Carlisle Avenue. The closure will last through June 23 as crews work to build part of the pedestrian bridge that will cross the Spokane River.
During the closure, travelers headed west on East Upriver Drive will detour onto North Freya and turn left and travel west on East Euclid Avenue.
The Centennial Trail between Ralph and Carlisle will also remain closed.
“Those who bike, walk, or roll can continue detouring north off of East Upriver Drive at North Ralph Street then head west onto East Carlisle Avenue, use the crosswalk on the north end of East Carlisle Avenue to cross North Greene Street, then follow North Carlisle Avenue back to East Upriver Drive to rejoin the Centennial Trail,” said WSDOT in an update about the construction.
